Aim of workshop

The aim of the workshop is to report on the recent theoretical and experimental results on the macroscopic quantum coherence of mesoscopic systems, as well as on solid state realization of qubits and quantum gates.  Particular attention will be given to coherence effects in Josephson devices. Other physical systems, including quantum dots, optical, atomic, and molecular devices, exhibiting macroscopic quantum coherence, will also be discussed .

Registration

Participants are welcome to submit their recent results relative to the workshop topics.

The participation is limited to about 150 attendants.

The Registration Fee is  Euro 400, it includes abstract booklet, lunches, coffee breaks, social trip and gala dinner. The  special reduced fee for Ph.D. students is Euro 250. The Registration Form must be sent to the Secretariat within April 30, 2006.

Travel and Accommodation Arrangements

Those planning to attend the Workshop are strongly recommended to schedule their travel plans well in advance.  Naples International Airport has direct connections with many European cities. Check this website for Travel Information on how to reach Naples.

Participants are advised to contact Mrs. Mazzarella Hilliard for hotel reservation, so that she can compose a list of all participants. Please communicate your data (name, surname, Hotel's category requested, arrival and departure dates) as soon as possible: we DO NOT guarantee any accommodation for requests received after May 5th, 2006. Due to the large requests of hotel rooms in Naples during the month of June,  participants are KINDLY URGED  to secure as soon as possible their accommodation.
