Aim of workshop
The aim of the workshop is to report on the recent theoretical results on the macroscopic quantum coherence of macroscopic systems.Particular attention will be given to the coherence effects in Josephson systems. The correlation with other atomic and molecular systems, exhibiting a macroscopic quantum coherence behaviour, is also discussed. Such proposals will be considered for implementation of various schemes for coherent information processing and quantum computation.
Registration
Lectures are by invitation only. However participants are welcome to submit their recent results on the workshop topics.
The participation is limited to about 150 attendants. The Registration Fee is 400.000 Italian Lire (about 200 Euro), including abstracts booklet, proceedings, coffee-breaks and social events.A special fee for students of 200.000 Italian Lire (about 100 Euro) includes abstracts booklet, proceedings and coffee-breaks. Registration form is to be sent to the secretariat within April 30, 2000.
The registration fee can be paid at the secretariat desk at the Workshop.
Travel and Accommodation Arrangements
Those planning to attend the Workshop are strongly recommended to schedule their travel plans well in advance. The year 2000 may be a "hot" year to visit Italy, due to the Jubilee event in Rome. Flying to Rome is not advisable. Naples International Airport has direct connections with many European cities. Check this website for Travel Information on how to reach Naples.
Participants are advised to contact Mrs.Mazzarella for hotel reservation, so that she can compose a list of all participants. Please communicate your data (name, surname, Hotel's category requested, arrival and departure dates) as soon as possible: we can't garantee any accomodation for requests received after March 31, 2000.
