CURRICULUM VITAE ET STUDIORUM

Valentina Corato was born in Naples, Italy on January 6th, 1977. She graduated in Physics in 2000 at the University of Rome, Italy.  After a stage spent at Department of Physics and Astronomy of University of Stony Brook ( New York-USA), she has got a Ph.D. position at University of Rome, in collaboration with the CNR of Arco Felice, Naples.  Since 1999 Valentina Corato has been working in the field of Macroscopic Quantum behaviour of Josephson systems at the Istituto di Cibernetica,  CNR,  NaplesItaly.  Then she worked at the Department of Physics of University of Jyväskylä, Finland, where she participated to the  fabrication of Cu-AlxO1-x-Al nanostructures, using scanning electron microscope and e-gun evaporator. The topics of  the activity of Valentina Corato concern the experimental and theoretical study of the Josephson Effect in different superconducting devices, based on junctions and SQUIDs, at cryogenic temperatures. As a Post Doc researcher, she worked at the Second University of Naples on networks of  Josephson devices  for applications in the field of the Quantum Computation. Since February 2007, Valentina Corato has a researcher position at ENEA of Frascati for the characterization of superconducting cables for fusion.
