Ruggiero is a Physicist and he is researcher at the ICIB-CNR, Naples-Italy
since 1988. He is the responsible at ICIB-CNR of an experimental group in
the field of Quantum Coherence and Quantum Computing. He is contract
professor in Physics at the Second University of Naples. He is the
President of the Associazione MQC2 to enhance international scientific
exchange in the fields of Physical Sciences, Mathematics and Natural
sciences in general, with particular attention to modern physics, to
quantum mechanics and to advanced computer science. He is author of many
books and 100 papers on international journals as well as technogical
patents. From 1989 up to 1992 the national advisory board of the main
italian project on "Superconductivity and Cryogenics Technologies"
committed to Berardo Ruggiero the responsability to control and coordinate
the research activity of many italian industries in the field of small and
large scale superconductivity. In 2004 he has been co-author of the volume
Quantum Computing and Quantum Bits in Mesoscopic Systems with P.
Silvestrini and A.J. Leggett (2003 Physics Nobel Laureate).
